Business Analyst

Wat ga je doen?

Edelman’s goal is to transform itself into a data-driven organisation. You will be responsible for the management information plan, the underlying data warehouse, and the tools and reports employed. Edelman currently has basic management information largely in place, but we are looking for a Business Analyst to take us to the next stage. You will be responsible for the ongoing development of management information and ensuring that all Edelman employees are getting the most out of the information available. You will act as a sounding board for the various departments and monitor progress. You will provide the relevant departments with reliable and meaningful data and reports. Through training and other support, in conjunction with the various department managers, you will ensure that the reports provide added value and continue to evolve.

There is a strong commercial aspect to your role as a Business Analyst. You will ensure that our procurement and sales teams have the right information and analytics to support strategic choices in building our ranges and sales opportunities. Edelman is becoming the sort of partner who, hand in hand with the customer, works out display collections and shelf layouts. We want to support this going forward by working with the customers to use (predictive) analytics to optimize sales in the retail areas.

As a Business Analyst, you will report directly to the CFO.

Wat vragen wij?

• You have a degree-level qualification in an academic or vocational discipline (Dutch HBO/WO)
• You are able to give form to Edelman’s transition to a data-driven organisation.
• You have experience in translating business requirements into reports, visualising data and building and maintaining reports
• You are able to turn data into actionable information
• You have excellent knowledge of business intelligence platforms, Excel and SQL
• You possess strong analytical skills and are able to make a difference. You are also proficient in the proper communication skills appropriate to the vacant position
• You inspire a novel approach to issues and steer knowledge development among users
• You take pride in your work and “sells” this as such within the organisation
